The bank, enterprises and the Ocean Plaza shopping center: Ukraine nationalized assets worth billions of Russians
12.07.2023 0 By Writer.NSThe Supreme Anti-Corruption Court nationalized the assets of several Russian oligarchs close to the Kremlin worth billions of hryvnias, based on the materials of the SBI. Among them are mining companies, bank shares and the Ocean Plaza shopping center. This is reported by the press service of the SBI, writes epravda.com.ua.

It is noted that the Bureau's employees exposed dozens of companies affiliated with Russian owners.
Among the ultimate beneficiaries of these commercial structures are Russian oligarchs close to Putin: brothers Arkady and Igor Rotenberg, Oleg Deripaska, Yevhen Giner.
The following came into the ownership of Ukraine:
- 88,89% of the shares of JSC "First Investment Bank" (Ginera).
- LLC "Glukhiv Quarry of Quartzites" and LLC "Mykolaiv Alumina Plant" (belonged to Oleg Deripaska, the estimated value is UAH 10 billion);
- Shopping center "Ocean Plaza", with an estimated cost of more than 350 million dollars. USA (belonged to Rothenbergs).
In addition, various shares of the authorized capital and property of Russians in other important strategic sectors of the Ukrainian economy were nationalized. In particular, it is 100% of Avangard-Vilarti LLC, which, in addition to Ocean Plaza Project (Cyprus) LTD, also owns Ethoder Investments Limited and 66,65% of Lybid Investment Union.
The DBR noted that structures under the control of Oleg Derepas were also involved in the expansion and reconstruction of the Dnipro-Bug seaport. Land plots and real estate in different regions of Ukraine, hundreds of units of special and cargo equipment were returned to the state income.
Other nationalized assets are owned by Russians Oleksandr Ponomarenko and Oleksandr Skorobogatko.
"The SBI continues systematic work to increase the country's defense capability and contributes to the return of the property of the Rashists in Ukraine to state ownership," the Bureau added.

The SBI corrected the information regarding the nationalization of Oblenergo, hotels, and shopping centers of the VS Energy group of Russian oligarchs Giner, Babakov, and Voevodin.
Currently, these assets have been seized by the court, and VAKS is considering the issue of transfer to the ownership of Ukraine:
- PJSC "Rivneoblenergo" (93,2%).
- JSC "Khersonoblenergo" (99,9%),
- JSC "Chernivtsioblenergo" (96,8%),
- JSC "Zhytomyroblenergo" (95,5%),
- PJSC "Kirovogradoblenergo" (72,9%), as well as 7 hotels and 2 shopping malls, with a total cost of UAH 2 billion.

At the end of June, the Ministry of Justice submitted a lawsuit to VACS to collect the assets of the owners of VS Energy — Russian oligarchs Babakov, Giner, and Voivodin — into state revenue. The group, in particular, owns corporate rights in 8 Ukrainian regional energy companies.
Ihor Kolomoiskyi filed an application for third-party intervention in the court case on the confiscation of assets of VS Energy, in which the Ministry of Justice is the plaintiff, and the sanctioned Russian oligarchs Oleksandra Babakov, Yevhenii Giner, and Mykhailo Voevodina are the defendants.
