France trained 6 Ukrainian soldiers

As of August, six thousand Ukrainian servicemen have already been trained in France as part of the plan to train soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this country in 2023. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of France, Sebastien Lecornu, transmits RBC-Ukraine with reference to his interview with Var Matin.

According to the French minister, Paris is coping with this plan.

The official noted that even more Ukrainian soldiers will complete their training in France by the end of this year, and added that some military personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces also underwent training in Poland with the support of Paris.

"In August, we achieved the annual goal of training 6 Ukrainian soldiers, distributed between France and Poland," said Lecorniu.

The head of the French Ministry of Defense also drew attention to the fact that the counteroffensive operations of the Armed Forces "need a new generation of soldiers who must be trained."

France's aid to Ukraine

It will be recalled that in July, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that his country would join Great Britain in supplying Ukraine with long-range missiles. This will allow the Armed Forces to hit the Russian occupiers and targets deep along the front line.

It was also noted that in total, France will transfer 50 SCALP missiles to Ukraine. The first missiles have already been delivered to Ukraine.

Let's add that in May, Macron, after meeting with his Ukrainian colleague Volodymyr Zelenskyi, said that France would provide several battalions of the Armed Forces with "dozens of armored vehicles and light tanks."
