Pedro Sanchez announced a new military aid package to Ukraine worth 1 billion euros, to be provided in 2025. The move is part of Spain's strategy to support Ukraine in its war with Russia and promote its recovery.

“We will continue to provide military equipment and supplies with even greater determination than in the past. I am ready to announce a new military aid package for Ukraine of 1 billion euros in 2025. We will work side by side with Ukraine on the reconstruction process,” Sanchez said.

The Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of economic cooperation, encouraging Spanish companies to participate in Ukrainian reconstruction projects.

Special attention will be paid to the needs of the Ukrainian diaspora in Spain, and for this purpose the countries plan to create a special Ukrainian hub in the province of Alicante.

Recall that European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that the European Union will provide Ukraine with 3,5 billion euros in March and will strengthen support for energy security. The EU will also continue to supply Ukraine with weapons and ammunition.
