Kyivstar acquired Uklon taxi service for $155 million

As stated in the press release, after the closing of the deal, Kyivstar will become the owner of 97% of Uklon shares. The company's CEO Serhiy Grishkov will probably remain in his position. The deal is subject to standard closing conditions and approvals, the company said, writes inventure.com.ua.

Kaan Terzioglu, CEO of VEON Group and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Kyivstar: "We want to expand Uklon's capabilities beyond Ukraine and Uzbekistan together with our digital operators in Kazakhstan, Pakistan and Bangladesh."

According to Grishkov, Kyivstar and Uklon remain separate businesses. “Our entire team, under my direct leadership as CEO of Uklon, will continue to work on the development of the company’s products and services in Ukraine and other markets,” he wrote on Facebook.

The deal is scheduled to close in April 2025, subject to customary closing conditions.

Uklon operates in 27 cities in Ukraine and brings together over 100 driver-partners on its platform.
