Ministry of Energy: Galushchenko discussed the use of Ukrainian gas storage facilities for the needs of the EU with the British Ambassador

The Minister reported that Ukraine is steadily completing the heating season and is preparing for the next autumn-winter period.
"The parties discussed the development of solutions to strengthen the energy security of Ukraine and the European region. In particular, the discussion focused on the prospects for using Ukrainian gas storage facilities for the needs of European Union member states," the statement said.
Galushchenko and Harris also discussed financial assistance to the Ukrainian energy sector, in particular, within the framework of the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.
The conversation concerned areas of cooperation to strengthen the protection of energy facilities, issues of nuclear and radiation safety, and the return of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant under Ukrainian control, the Ministry of Energy adds.
The British Embassy has not yet commented publicly on the conversation.
According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy, over the three years of its full-scale invasion, Russia has carried out over 30 massive complex strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, causing total damage in the billions of dollars.
