Nestlé intends to invest UAH 9,5 billion in the modernization of Ukrainian enterprises in 2025
02.03.2025 0 By Writer.NSNestlé CEO in Ukraine and South-Eastern Europe Alessandro Zanelli announced that it plans to spend UAH 8 billion to promote consumer goods in Ukrainian retail chains. According to him, an additional UAH 1,5 billion will be invested in improving the condition of the company's factories, writes inventure.com.ua.

The company has already delayed the opening of a new plant in the Volyn region by six months due to constant air hazards, a shortage of builders and labor, Alessandro Zanelli notes. However, the company still plans to launch it in March 2025, he adds.
Nestlé predicts a shortage of electricity in the summer, which will force buyers to adjust their purchasing behavior — in particular, to reduce the volume of goods purchased at a time. Due to inflation in Ukraine, about 55% of purchases are made at promotional prices, says Zanelli. Accordingly, retailers are encouraging manufacturers to conduct more advertising campaigns to generate a flow of visitors, he adds.
Nestlé intends to invest about $40 million in a new instant vermicelli production facility in Smolyhov, Volyn region. Together with the factory in Torchin, the Volyn production network will become a European regional hub for the culinary products category, Nestlé's press service reported. The hub will employ 1500 people at the production facility, which will ensure the supply of products to the Ukrainian market and other European markets.
“The future factory will export 85% of its products,” said Alessandro Zanelli.
