The Netherlands will accelerate assistance to Ukraine

The Netherlands will accelerate the allocation of the promised 3,5 billion euros in support for Ukraine and send 2 billion euros this year instead of 2026, Reuters writes, citing a spokesman for the Dutch Prime Minister, Dick Schoof, writes radiosvoboda.org.

Following today's meeting of European leaders in Paris, Schoof said that the talks concerned not only peace and security in Ukraine, but also the peace and security of Europe, including the Netherlands.

"One thing is certain: Ukraine can continue to count on our support. We will maintain a stable course. Strong, modern, and resilient Armed Forces of Ukraine are the most important guarantee of peace," he wrote on the social network X.

In early March, the Dutch Prime Minister announced €3,5 billion in total state support for Ukraine in 2026.

The Netherlands is supporting Ukraine as it continues to fight Russian aggression. Among other things, Amsterdam is providing military assistance — ammunition, F-16 aircraft, and anti-aircraft systems — as well as training the Ukrainian military.
