"He wants European forces to be present in Ukraine to monitor the ceasefire regime," the source quoted the publication as saying.

At the same time, according to the interlocutors of the newspaper, the American military, according to Trump's plan, will not be directly involved in this mission.

Additionally, according to The Wall Street Journal, "Trump urges Europeans to do more to get China to influence the Kremlin to end the conflict." In particular, according to sources, the US president-elect is proposing to the leaders of European countries to apply tariffs on goods from the PRC if Beijing does not agree to influence Moscow.

According to the publication, Trump does not support Ukraine's membership in NATO: "At a meeting in Paris on December 7, Trump told the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and the President of France Emmanuel Macron that he does not support Ukraine's membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, but wants that after any after the cessation of hostilities in Ukraine, a strong, well-armed Ukraine emerged, officials aware of this meeting reported.
