A joint NATO-Ukraine training center will be created in Poland

NATO has decided to open a joint training center in Bydgoszcz, Poland, where the Ukrainian military will study and train together with servicemen of the alliance. About this reported the RBC-Ukraine with reference to the statement of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

"Today we decided to create a new joint NATO-Ukraine center for analysis, training and education in Poland," Stoltenberg said.

According to him, in this center, the Ukrainian military will be able to share the lessons learned during the events in Ukraine. In addition, Ukrainians will also be able to train and study together with colleagues from NATO.

The NATO Secretary General emphasized that this joint center is needed not only by Ukraine, but also by the Alliance itself.

"This center will allow Ukraine to share the experience it gained during the Russian-Ukrainian war and will create a structure that will enable the Armed Forces to study and train hand in hand with NATO partners," Stoltenberg said.

NATO training

In the first half of 2024, NATO is conducting a series of exercises under the general code name Steadfast Defender-24. Poland will be one of the host countries and will place a significant number of allied soldiers and equipment on its territory.

As part of Steadfast Defender-24, Polish national exercises will be held with the participation of the armed forces of other countries called Dragon-24.

As the Polish General Staff emphasizes, such exercises are defensive and not directed against any country.
