Ukraine is ready to ratify the Free Trade Agreement with Turkey
13.03.2025Ukraine is determined to deepen economic cooperation with Turkey. The free trade agreement may be ratified in the near future. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with a link to the Telegram channel of President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The Ukrainian president said that the meeting with representatives of the Turkish government and business was the result of previous agreements with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara. Zelensky stressed the importance of the presence of Turkish business in Ukraine, noting that the state appreciates it, as well as assistance and support, including the supply of "bayraktars".
"Today we discussed efforts to bring about a just and lasting peace, the development of bilateral relations, opportunities for cooperation in the production of various types of drones, and the participation of Turkish companies in the reconstruction of Ukraine," the head of Ukraine emphasized.
He also noted that Kyiv considers Turkey as one of its strategic partners, as well as one of its partners in terms of security guarantees.
According to him, Ukraine is ready to ratify the Free Trade Agreement with Turkey during President Erdogan's upcoming visit.
We would like to remind you that today, March 13, two Turkish ministers (trade, agriculture, and forestry) headed a delegation of leading Turkish business representatives visited Ukraine. The meeting with President Zelenskyy focused on projects for the recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine, and the participation of Turkish contractors in them.
Note that yesterday the Turkish president said that Turkey hopes that the Russian Federation will respond constructively to the idea of a ceasefire with Ukraine.
