Ukraine produces almost 20 self-propelled guns "Bohdan" per month

Ukraine produces almost 20 Bogdan self-propelled artillery units per month. This is particularly helped by the financial program from Denmark. It is reported RBC-Ukraine with reference to the statement of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

Zelenskyi spoke about the so-called "Danish model", which makes it possible to attract finance from partners specifically for Ukrainian defense production.

"In particular, we are making artillery - already almost 20 "Bohdan" per month, good results in other areas as well. There will be more results. Shells, equipment, drones — everything you need. I am grateful to everyone who helps us," the head of state emphasized.

What is "Bohdana" ACS

"Bohdana" self-propelled artillery is a Ukrainian self-propelled artillery installation with a caliber of 155 mm gun, which meets NATO standards. It is serviced by a crew of five people, and the maximum speed of the machine is 80 km/h. The installation is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 60 km.

The development of the ACS began in 2015 at the Kramatorsk Heavy Machine Tool Plant, and in 2023 it was officially adopted by the Armed Forces.

In the spring of this year, the production of "Bohdan" units was up to 8 units per month.

However, by mid-summer, Denmark had already financed and ordered the production of 18 units of the Bogdan self-propelled guns.
