Zelensky announced an increase in arms supplies from the United States

The United States of America is increasing the supply of military aid to Ukraine. This helps level the situation in the war with Russia. It is reported RBC-Ukraine with reference to the evening address of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

According to the head of the Ukrainian state, today there was a report by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov.

"Front. Software. It is very important that the United States is now increasing the supply. This is necessary to level the situation. I am grateful to our partners. And the pace of supply should be such as to slow down the pace of Russian assaults," Zelensky emphasized.

He clarified that Ukraine needs strong positions for diplomacy. And every unit and brigade that ensures this brings the possibility of sustainable peace closer.

The head of state thanked the 90th, 80th, 82nd separate amphibious assault brigades, as well as the 68th separate hunting brigade for their steadfastness and courage in this week's battles. At the same time, he mentioned the 225th and 425th separate assault battalions.

"I also want to celebrate now all our soldiers who carry out long-range strikes on the territory of Russia. And we have the right, necessary results in the destruction of the enemy's military infrastructure, and only this: Ukraine defends itself against aggression, and our strikes are aimed exclusively at military targets," the president added.

He thanked the Armed Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Security Service and foreign intelligence for their accuracy.

It will be recalled that before the inauguration of Donald Trump, the administration of US President Joe Biden increased military aid to Ukraine.

Over the past month, Washington has already announced several new military aid packages.

Also, on December 20, Reuters wrote that the United States may announce a military aid package for Ukraine in the coming days, which will include weapons worth $1,2 billion. These are, in particular, anti-aircraft missiles and artillery shells.
